I was very fortunate to get to spend some time with a friend birding this morning. It seems like forever since I have been out enjoying my passion for birds. One of the highlights of the outing was seeing this beautiful female Townsend's Warbler.

Life can be complicated, or it can be simple. Leaving at 6:00 am to spend time in the high desert mountains with a good friend. Enjoying the days first light while watching fall migrants pass through the trees. Inhaling the fragrant scents of natures perfume. Being blessed to experience the unsurpassed beauty of this magical land. Getting to know another person a little better than I did before. These are the sublime joys of a simple life. I will let others contend with the complicated.
