How incredibly peaceful this sleeping Green-winged Teal looks. I had not realized that ducks had feathers on their eyelids.

I had to crawl under low hanging brush and trees to get positioned to see this bird at Ding-Darling. At the time, they were the only GWTE in the area. Comparing this image to some others, where the Teals eyes were open, I felt that this one gave the best sense of the tranquil respite the birds enjoyed at this moment.
