Snow Covered Sunset

Snow Covered Sunset

The truth is that sometimes I don't feel like going out to shoot. Be it the final results of a busy day or an oppressing feeling of melancholy that sometimes fights against my spirit; there are days I just cannot seem to get the motivation to get outside. Today was such a day.

And then I saw this, and the motivation returned. I could not let this moment of pale orange sunset reflecting off the newly fallen snow on the mountains pass without capturing it. So I grabbed my camera, went into the yard, and shot. Had I planned better I would have traveled in front of the houses in front of me to capture the entire mountains. As it was, I aimed high and caught the most important part, the snow-covered peaks of Miller and Carr Mountains being kissed goodnight by the blushing low hanging clouds.

There are no words that can adequately describe a place that has such power over the soul. I live grateful to God for the fortune to witness and share His artwork and humbly remain His scribe.
