Rainbow in Paradise

Rainbow in Paradise

I've had many great experiences in my life and seen some truly spectacular things, but this morning I was provided proof that we live in paradise. It lasted less than a minute, just enough time for me to run for my camera, switch lenses and bolt out the back door. It was gone before I could change the settings on my camera to get the shot I wanted, but I am happy with the shot I got.

What I found most interesting is that we just started re-doing our backyard to make it even more bird-friendly. As if to visually offer a nod of approval God dropped the end of a Rainbow right in the yard! I guess that means we should continue the project.

The Southern Arizona High Desert Sky Islands are home to the most biodiversity in the United States. Where we live, in Sierra Vista, is arguably the birding capital of the United States. While that was a significant reason for moving here, we have learned that there is so much more to this relatively unknown patch of the country. Each day is an adventure of discovery and awe at its beauty.

I am entirely convinced that miracles happen daily. We just need to open ourselves up to see and experience them. I am just as confident that my mission is to show the majesty and glory of God and His wonders through my photos and words. I humbly remain His scribe.
