Trails End

Trails End

The end of the Huachuca Mountains, in the Coronado National Monument park, is where the United States tapers downslope to its border. That end is also the beginning of the Arizona National Scenic Trail, a meandering path that leads from the Mexican border to the state of Utah. It was at that beginning, or end, after the sun had set, where a brilliant flash of lightning from a late-season storm struck.

There was so much that I could read into a strike at this spot but after contemplating it for some time I have realized that its meaning would be different for each viewer. So, I will let you decide its meaning to you. I am going to just gaze at the image and revel in the exceptional beauty and wonder that God has created in southern Arizona.
