The fuel is long gone from this old pump that once kept the ranch machinery going. But, that has not stopped it from attempting to fuel the night sky with a magical spectacle of infinite stars.

Empire Ranch is one the southern Arizona high deserts most iconic anchors to its wild west past. Photographed often, it can be a challenge to find a new angle or perspective to shoot. Why it never occurred to us to capture this fuel pump is a mystery - we pass it every time we go there. On this night, we realized the vision it represented and corrected our previous oversight.

How many opportunities in life has our Father placed in front of me, only to have me pass them by while I focused on other things? The beauty is that He never tires of offering and waiting for me to catch up to the gift of His miracles. Witnessing the beauty of this world through His eyes and sharing it with others is one of the greatest gifts I have received. I remain His scribe.
