Path to Infinity

Path to Infinity

At night, on a primitive dirt road, away for the prefabricated sameness of the globalized world, one can transport themselves into a different time.

As I hunted for a spot to shoot the lights of the Milky Way, I found myself on such a road. Simple and unadorned save for the white tipped wildflowers which haphazardly shot from the ground, it offered a serene place to park and gaze at the sky. The road ahead curved in a graceful line towards the forested foothills of the Huachuca mountains on my right, a sepia path disappearing into a cover of verdure. To the left, the rising Milky Way blazed a trail from those hills towards the fantasy of imaginations untethered longing. As a silent and slight southerly breeze warmed the night air, the sounds of the earth settled into a moment of quiet. It was a moment sublime in its serenity.

Our world offers such grand beauty. It is in the towering mountains, the deep canyon caverns, the roiling oceans lined with fine-grained sand, the tranquil ponds that reflect the landscapes surrounding them, the turbulent river rapids that lead to magnificent waterfalls. And then there are the simple places, uncomplicated vistas one might overlook, where the magic and the beauty of life is renewed and invigorated. All these are things I seek to capture and immortalize so that others might enjoy their beauty. Each is a gift, a showcase that highlights the genius of creation from a glorious God. Humbly, as a testament to His benevolence, I share.
