I had heard of Crane style kung fu but never did I imagine there was a Cormorant style as well! Everything was peace and tranquility on the small farm pond in Safford, AZ until this Cormorant decided to pick a fight with the Great Blue Heron that was quietly perched on the old, battered dock. Within seconds there was a battle royale! Less then a minute later the Heron was the clear winner. As it settled back into a composed watch of its domain, the Cormorant dejectedly swam to the other side of the pier where it spread its wings to dry.

Even the most seemingly peaceful life is rarely without conflict. But, just as often it gains a quick resolution. Nature is a great teacher of the truth that it is not the turmoil, but the return to the tranquility, that matters. I am blessed that our creator has allowed me the time in nature to learn and share these lessons. I remain His scribe.
