Miracle Valley Trail of Angels

Miracle Valley Trail of Angels

Deep in the southernmost part of the Arizona high desert exists the fabled town of Miracle Valley. Like much of the area it is a sparsely populated enclave of individualists that seek to live their lives in peace. It is here that a bible college was built in 1959 by the renowned Christian revivalist A. A. Allen. After his death, the property languished and suffered from years of poor stewardship, neglect, and abuse. For a time it even housed a cult whose violent clash with residents earned the area a notorious footnote in history.

Through all the turmoil and unrest, the tabernacle at its center still stands, a testament to a loving God who perseveres through man's foibles and inequities.

Last night, with the skies clear of Monsoon seasons clouds, we visited the site to capture the trail of angels leading the heavens next to the tabernacles steeple. It seemed a fitting image for this beautiful structure.

My life is a testimony to the gift of redemption, my images a humble tribute to His great glory. I remain his scribe.
