I am, in imagery and prose, a storyteller. As such, I strive to be truthful to my muse and honest to my audience. Which brings up a question on whether I am sharing a photo or fine-art?

There is a line in creating an image where it exceeds being a photograph or a moment in time and becomes, euphemistically, a "fine-art" expression of an experience in time. Such is the case in this image. Both the sunset and the Milky Way photos were taken last night. But, they were taken five hours apart.

There was something about being so blessed to witness both the majestic sunset over the Huachuca mountains, followed later in the evening by a dramatic rising of the Milky Way in our Southern Arizona high desert dark sky, that I felt compelled to attempt to share the totality of the experience. So I mixed both images to, hopefully, illustrate the awe-inspiring greatness of this oft-neglected region. This is not something I often do, and I look forward to feedback.

It is in the wonder of His glory that I view this world. It is in humble gratitude that I remain His scribe.
