The sun painted a vivid orange hue on the horizon as the crescent moon hung low in the dark early morning sky. As I stood in the parking lot in the brittle 33° cold, I was once again astonished at the ever-unfolding beauty of the Arizona landscape. I had come for the spectacle of the Sandhill Cranes, full of anticipation and wondering if they would live up to the expectations others had foreshadowed for me. This view started the day confirming my hopes.

I am blessed to serve as a visual scribe to the glory and grace gifted us in this world. For that, I remain truly humble. - R. Gallucci
