In my travels throughout the country, I am blessed to visit many lighthouses. I can see with complete candor that the Sanibel Lighthouse is perhaps the ugliest. And, that is probably how it should be. A constant beacon to seagoing vessels, it's utilitarian purpose and form works to make this paradise resort isle off the Florida west coast even more beautiful.
Still, I find that when set in the morning's golden hours glow, the Sanibel Lighthouse finds its moment of glory.
I hope you enjoy.
