The explosive light of a falling star guided our eyes from the pathway of angels to the desolate remains of a failed homestead. Weathered and near collapse, it sits on the valley floor in the Southern Arizona high desert area known as Kansas Settlement. Humble in its bearing, it teaches that even the abandoned and broken can reveal the redeeming truth that guides a soul on the path to eternity. It is a reminder that nothing in existence is insignificant, nothing without meaning. We have only to open our hearts to witness the miracle on display around us.
