Sedona Arizona is easily one of the most beautiful places on this planet, and Cathedral Rock is the anchor of its picturesque magnificence. The shot that I had originally planned did not work out, but that did not stop us from hunting for a new site to shoot. Standing in the parking lot at the head of the Cathedral Rock Trail the Milky Way seemed to erupt from its summit. It was a moment powerful and humbling.

Milky Way photography is a new area for me. I look forward to sharing increasingly better images as time goes on and I learn more. For now, I hope you enjoy this moment.
