Vermillion Flycatcher in Flight

Vermillion Flycatcher in Flight

I cannot tell you how long I have wanted to catch a Vermillion Flycatcher in flight. You would think it would be easy. They launch off their perches continually to grab flying insects providing plenty of opportunities to catch them in flight. But the combination of correctly exposing their contrasting colors and stopping their blazing speed has, in the past, left me with blurred or poorly exposed shots. Not yesterday. I finally caught him. Hope you enjoy.
