Elegant Trogon VI

Elegant Trogon VI

checked Webster. It says that any day you see an Elegant Trogon is a good day. Really, it says it. Right where I wrote it in.

This was a surprise find at Fort Huachuca. There is a pair at the top of the road, and a pair at the bottom of the road. This guy was calling and flitting about between those areas.

Factoid(s): Elegant Trogon nest in holes in trees. They cannot create their own so they find abandoned woodpecker holes. Like Owls, they can swivel their heads 360 degrees.
