Chipping Sparrow
I had the honor of spending a couple of hours with Tony Battiste at Battiste Bed, Breakfast & Birds yesterday. While Sierra Vista may be a birders Mecca, Tonys B&B is a hot spot within a city of Hot Spots. The inn is well appointed and comfortable, the host friendly and a true gentleman and the birding, well the birding is beyond imagination.
Yesterdays time in the blind was interrupted numerous times by a very hungry Coopers Hawk. Still, I was able to see some beautiful birds. I cannot wait for the chance to go back.
If you are coming to Sierra Vista to bird, I strongly recommend finding out if Tony has room in the inn
(Tomorrow is the last day I am on FB lockdown - I will probably post these photos again once I can share them)
