Long-eared Owl iV
After last night's dusk visit to see these beautiful owls, I had to return this morning to try to capture a better shot. This will be my last visit for a couple of weeks. For their protection, it is not good to spend too much time with them. While I did not get an unobscured shot, I did get quite some photo's with them naturally posed.
Today we counted five owls at this location. Judging by the number of pellets in the area they have been eating quite well. Breaking one open, we found a rodent skull and some bones.
Next quest, weather permitting, is the Great Grey Owl in upper NY State. I hope it sticks until Friday.
