Hope is the belief that the next moment will be better than the last. In hope, I stood at the entrance to Coronado National Monument and awaited the recent moonrise over the San Jose mountains. In a blessing, received the vision revealed was more than my hope imagined.

Life can be like that. So often I find myself mired down in the trials and diplomacies of existing with others. At times these interactions become overwhelming, and I sink into the morass of negative thought. I lose hope.

But then I remember that His plan for me will be revealed along the journey and it will be as it should. In that acceptance, I can clear the cobwebs of doubt and disappointment so that hope can shine through. And, with hope is the promise of joy and serenity alongside the people I love. That is the greatest blessing on all.

I remain his scribe.
