At the end, all the grandeur of the days final hour fused into a brief moment of pure harmony. In this brief instant, majestic rays of pastel purple radiated upward from below the horizon as if to mimic the aurora effect of the far north. As light diffused color the grasslands reflected a blueish-red hue, while the last remnants of sols orange brillance faded into the shadows of the distant silhouetted mountains. In my mind, all I could think was that this was His Glory at its most beautiful.

Here, in the high desert of southern Arizona, beauty carves its home into the desolation. Here, in this minimalist paradise, one makes a choice. You can see a harsh landscape of bleached color or; if you take the time to look, you can see a rich palette of ever-changing vibrancy and color.

There are few blessings greater in my life than the grace He has bestowed on me to witness the vibrancy and color. When times are rough, and outlooks bleak, I must remind myself to remember this gift and my mission to share the wonder with the world. In the end, what is important is who our soul allows us to be and the way we share that with others. Everything else will sort itself out just the way it is meant to.

I remain His scribe.
