I stood alone. The gaggle of other photogs had left after the moon rose over the Statue of Liberty, but I was not there for that shot. I had mapped out this image and knew that I would need to wait for it. While I would have loved for the sky to be clear, and the lights to pierce the moon, such was not the case. That is ok; I am happy with the image I got.
