Morning in Sedona
For a good reason, most people head up to the airport mesa vortex in Sedona to watch spectacular sunsets. Unfortunately, most do not head back to see the morning sun light up the distant red rock mountains as well.
After a night of shooting Milky Way shots around the area, we woke early and headed to the Airport Mesa Vortex to see the day begin. I cannot share that any mystical "vortex" experience overtook me, but the combination of spectacular blue skies, red rock vistas, and lush green foreground made the short hike well worth it. I will get a sunset shot on my next visit.
On the far left is Cockscomb Red Rock formation. Center is Thunder Mountain with Coffee Pot rock to its right. On the far right, I believe you see Steamboat Mountain.
I hope you enjoy.
