Northern Harrier I
It's not supposed to be 21° in Arizona! But that was what it was this morning at Whitewater Draw. We think that may be a reason this Northern Harrier landed ten yards from us and didn't move as we snapped our photos. Or, maybe it had just consumed a meal and needed to rest. Either way, it was hard to concentrate on Sandhill Cranes while this beauty posed. So we didn't! This is the first of a number we were able to shoot of this magnificent raptor.
